Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre restaurée en 2001 par Tiamat Molina et Gaël Le Sourd. Oeuvre restaurée en 2010 par Hélène Champagnac et Mélanie Paul-Hazard de l'Atelier régional de restauration. Chaque sculpture est taillée dans un bloc de bois, peu évidé au revers. Les seuls éléments rapportés sont la main et l'extrémité du pied gauche du bourreau senestre. Sa paire de tenailles, qui n'était pas présente en 2001, ne semble pas d'origine, bien qu'ancienne.
Précision_sur la representation :	Le groupe est constitué de trois sculptures indépendantes, représentant chacune un des protagonistes, qui reposent sur une même planche. Sainte Apolline, au centre, se tient debout, les mains liées derrière le dos. Le bourreau de dextre tire des deux mains les longs cheveux de la sainte, en appui sur sa jambe droite. Le bourreau de senestre, les jambes écartées bien posées au sol, tient fermement l'instrument du martyr de la sainte : une paire de tenaille ayant servi à lui arracher les dents une à une.
