Historique :	On connaît un J.B. Pigeon, peintre à Nantes vers 1720, le même sans doute, qui en 1703 effectue divers travaux dans la chapelle Saint-Gilles de Plélo. La toile paraît cependant du 17e siècle et certains visages rappellent Le Nain. On connaît aussi quatre maîtres orfèvres du nom de Pigeon dont un établi à Nantes au 15e siècle et trois à Rennes aux 17e et 18e siècles.
